Sheet Mask Series: Manefit’s Bling Bling Energizing Hydrogel Mask

I would like to start this post by saying that I am aware that this mask does not technically count as a sheet mask. But they are in the same family and are totally fine being grouped together.

HOWEVER, they do different things for your skin. Just like sheet masks, gel masks are not a one size fits all thing. They are still individual and one time use treatments for your skin but I find myself using gel masks when I have to pull out all stops. I only use gel masks when my skin looks so far gone that I need HUGE dose of moisture and serums stat!

I have used Manefit’s gel masks in the past and I still consider myself more of a sheet mask fan but I figured I would try this out once more. I will definitely say that you have commit when you are wearing one of these things. You cannot really move because they will slide off of your face and you are supposed to wear them for around 30 minutes. I know that many women like to put them in the fridge for a bit to get a cooling effect, but it is thirteen degrees outside today…so no thanks.

The mask comes in to different parts one for the upper half and one for the lower half of your face. It did not cover my face completely but it did cover all of my problem areas. I also like that unlike sheet masks, the serums from the mask do not slide down your neck or into your hairline.

When you first put the mask on your face it has the feeling of what I imagine would be like placing a dead fish on your face. Honestly, there is absolutely no other way to describe it.If you are turned off by slimy things then this one is not for you. After thirty minutes I saw that my skin looked noticeably more vibrant and more moisturized.

I recommend this mask for skin that needs some serious TLC but this is not a product I would use everyday or even every week.

You can buy this mask at my FAVORITE Korean beauty website Soko Glam
