I’m Engaged!…and other big life changes.

I am sorry for taking a leave of absence the past week or so but I took a trip out to Colorado to visit my now fiancé who is stationed out there.

Engagement Story Time!

My favorite place to visit when I visit Brandon is Garden of the Gods. The day before I was supposed to leave he told me we were going to go hiking to the top of one of the smaller mountains in the park with his old roommate and his wife. Although I am a huge fan of hiking I was not really in the mood to go.

After being coaxed into going we were on our way. The weather was a bit snowy and foggy but the massive crimson rocks were still visible in the distance. After reaching a scenic overlook Brandon was eager to take pictures. I begrudgingly took the picture since I did not have a stitch of makeup on and I was out of breath since I am not used to the elevation in Colorado at all.

After his friend snapped a picture I went to grab the camera when Brandon grabbed my arm and when I turned around he got down on one knee. He pulled out a ring that took my breath away and I cannot for the life of me remember what he said since my mind pretty much went blank and all I said was “Yes.”

His friends obviously knew what was happening and I was so happy they were there to capture the moment! I have been on cloud nine ever since and have been busy talking with friends, family and already planning our wedding! By planning I mean pinning on my wedding board pinterest

Other Big Life Change!

I was born in NYC, rained in New Jersey and went to college in Connecticut. I have been in the New York metropolitan area for pretty much my entire life and now that is about to change. In about two weeks I am making the move out to Colorado Springs! Brandon and I will be road tripping with my car, a trailer, some audiobooks and a sense of adventure across the United States. I have never been to most of the states we are traveling through so I am excited to see middle America!

I will be posting a bit here and there but I will mostly be focusing on moving out west! To follow us on our way to the great state of Colorado check out my instagram that I will be updating throughout the trip!

P.S. I now have a facebook page as well! Be sure to like it for updates on our trip and new posts!
