Korean Skincare Review: Skin Food Black Sugar Mask

If you are anything like me, you are very choosy when it come to exfoliants on your face. I have had horrible experiences in the past with these products. I have damaged my skin from using harsh exfoliators that were successful in removing my actual skin and not the dirt and dead skin on my face.

Now that we are in the beginning stages of winter here in the Northeast, also know as dry skin season. I noticed that this phenomena had begun as soon as put on my liquid foundation and saw dry skin patches. I knew what I had to do….well not really, to be honest I hadn’t used an exfoliant in years.

So here begins my journey with the BEST SCRUB YOU WILL EVER OWN.

I have spoken a lot about my love of Korean skincare and this particular scrub is from the Korean brand Skin Food. I had seen reviews for the Black Sugar Mask online and figured it was worth a try and I am so happy I did.

I will state first that the word mask may be deceiving. To apply this mask you first use it as a scrub and lightly massage it on for about 45 seconds. You then leave the mask on your face for 10-15 minutes and wash it off with warm water.

The sugar granules are a bit larger but if you apply them with a light pressure there is no reason you’re skin will be irritated. Another reason your skin will not be irritated? The ingredients! The sugar hydrates your skin and shea butter moisturizes your skin.

I always notice that my makeup applies better after using this product and my skin is visibly healthier.

You can purchase SkinFood Black Sugar Scrub Mask from Amazon and SokoGlam.com
