Lush’s Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

For those of us who have the combo of thick and oily hair, we know how hard it can be to find shampoo. Thick hair is more prone to being dried out and frizzy but if you use heavy products your hair is more likely to become oily.

Don’t get me wrong I love my hair but our relationship has become strained. Putting a ton of products in my hair to fix every issue has made my hair heavy and product buildup causes even more oil. This has led to many days of either putting on a hat or attacking my hair with half a bottle of dry shampoo.

It was completely by accident that I discovered Lush’s Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo. While showering this morning I grabbed for my shampoo bottle to find it completely empty. The only thing available was my sister’s newest lush purchase. I was hesitant at first when I saw the first ingredient was beer, stout to be more exact, turns out beer is very beneficial to the scalp and hair. This is part due to the yeast which contributes to hair health and protein that adds shine.

This shampoo does not lather as much as your average shampoo but the smell lingered in my hair all day! My frizz was controlled and the shine was amazing! My fellow blondes know how hard it can be to have light hair look shiny. My natural waves in my hair were not affected either nor did they feel weighed down. I will say that this shampoo is not for someone who is prone to dry hair.

I know that I am now going to need by own bottle or else I will use every last drop before my sister has the chance to use it!
