I wasn’t aware the 90s ever left…

I’m a nostalgic person by default. A song, smell, food, etc. etc. can transport me back to a simpler time. A time when Darius Rucker was still hootie and all my classmates wanted to be the next Michael Jordan or Posh Spice.

I am also a lover of all things associated with fashions of the nineties, but this is nothing new. I spent my summers at what my parents called hippie camp but I called my second home. While there, my outfits resembled something of a female Dave Matthews or a wannabe Fiona Apple and it wasn’t just me either ALL my friends were like that. We would wander through the woods decked out in flannel and combat boots singing Bon Jovi and Mr.Big.

This style choice bled into my “real life” and has been there ever since. I will always be envious of Buffy’s clothes (and great abs) and I will never be convinced that I have enough flannel or band t-shirts. I am happy that my style is finally back in style, although to be fair I do wear things besides clothes that make me look like I’m in the first season of Friends, but not too often.

However, thanks to this resurgence of I heart the 90’s in the fashion world I can now modernize my clothes while still keeping the grungy, comfy, too many shades of dark colors look that I LOVE. Wanna dress like you walked out of a Hey Arnold episode?? Here are a few pics to jump start your style upgrade.
